Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a licensed health care profession that emphasizes the body’s ability to heal itself. Treatment typically involves manual therapy, often including spinal manipulation. Other forms of treatment, such as exercise and nutritional counseling, may be used as well.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is used to help manage a health condition or enhance wellness. It involves manipulating the soft tissues of the body. Massage has been practiced in most cultures, both Eastern and Western, throughout human history, and was one of the earliest tools that people used to try to relieve pain.

Jessica Kempton has been a practicing massage therapist since 2021. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and completed community clinics in arthritis, neurology, and invisible illnesses.

Jessica is an avid learner - in addition to her massage education, she has a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University majoring in Neuroscience/Psychology and Biology, with an accompanying undergraduate certificate in Disability Management/minor in Health Promotion. She is currently completing a Bachelors degree in Public Relations. Her education has prepared her in understanding the complexities of many physiological and/or psychological disorders/traumatic injuries that can afflict the body. By employing a combination of general Swedish, myofascial, and therapeutic techniques, she works to help clients with their relaxation related and/or musculoskeletal concerns. Although she leans towards the use of moderate pressure she can adjust for all preferences and/or needs.

Jessica’s specific interests lie in treating neuromuscular disorders and mental health support. She has a depth of experience with many conditions including but not limited to: MS, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, PTSD, orthopedic surgery recoveries, rheumatoid and osteo arthritis, sports injuries, and whiplash/MVA cases. Additionally she offers pre and post natal massage as well as child massage.

By request, Jessica is also able to offer hot stone and cupping treatments.
